The case is made from Black 7mm Flight Panel, a lightweight but very strong polypropylene honeycomb material. The case is fitted with interlocking aluminium sections to the joint edges to give a splash proof seal. Edges are fitted with 22mm aluminium angle. Zinc coated pressed steel ball corners and edge brackets increase strength and protection. The lid is secured to the base with two butterfly type catches (padlocking hoops) at the front and with two hinges at the back. A sprung handle is fitted to the top. Internally the case has no foam lining.
