The case is made from black 7mm Astroboard, a lightweight but very strong polypropylene honeycomb material. The case is fitted with interlocking aluminium sections to the joint edges to give a splash proof seal. Edges are fitted with 22 mm aluminium angle. Zinc coated pressed steel ball corners and edge brackets increase strength and protection. The lid is secured to the base with two butterfly type catches at the front and with two hinges at the back. A recessed sprung handle is fitted to the front.
Internally the case has 25 compartments W75xD75xH110, 1 compartment W195xD175xH100 and 3 compartments W195xD75xH80mm.
